COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Handlebar Bicycle Club believes in giving back to our community and is involved in several outreach programs. Reaching out and giving our time to those in need is an important mission of our club.

Brookwood Community Bicycle Tune-up Day

The Brookwood Community is a nonprofit organization 30 minutes west of Houston that provides meaningful purpose in the lives of over 230 adults with disabilities in a God-centered educational, vocational and residential community.

Handlebar Bicycle Club spent a day in Brookwood's bicycle garage to tune up the community's 80 bicycles.

TxDOT Adopt A Highway Cleanup Project

The Handlebar Bicycle Club and 21 of its finest volunteers spent a beautiful afternoon cleaning up the 2 mile stretch of highway it adopted through the TxDOT program. With a cool day in front of them, the club members spent the time collecting trash, socializing, and stretching their legs over two miles of road.  Thank you for a job well done team!

Team participation in the MS 150

Bike MS is the fundraising cycling series of the National MS Society and raises more money than any other cycling event for any other cause. Bike MS cyclists, volunteers, and donors have raised more than a Billion dollars to stop MS in its tracks, restore what's been lost, and end MS forever.

Handlebar Bicycle Club continues to participate in this worthy ride.
