HANDLEBAR BICYCLE CLUB TUESDAY NIGHT WORLDS

Meet at Handlebar Cyclery  (24948 Farm to Market 1093 Suite 220, Katy, TX 77494) by 5:45pm. Riders roll out by 6:00pm (please be on time).

RIDE DETAILS:
A one-time ride waiver must be filled out and provided to the shop prior to the start and must be signed prior to participation in our group rides.

Route will be posted on the club Facebook page and/or subject to change weekly. Route is approximately 32 miles or more if additional mileage is added to include the Stratman/Beadle Ln loop.

There may be one short hydration break (approx. 18 miles into the ride).
We typically arrive back at Handlebar Cyclery before 7:45pm.
We ride every Tuesday weather permitting or if there is already a scheduled organized ride. We will notify ahead of time of any change or cancellation.
This is an open ride for experienced level and fast riders usually a race or A group pace.
REVIEW GROUP RIDE MATRIX

 If you cannot maintain the advertised pace and break from the group you will be on your own. Please know the route.

This is a fast tempo ride and considered a hammer fest ride. If you are not able to keep the pace or have mechanical issues the group will continue riding. A rider may accompany you if you experience a flat or mechanical.

The ride is lead by experience cyclists with good local knowledge. (Please note you should be fit enough to ride a fast pace for 23+ mph).

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

  • A bicycle in good mechanical and proper working condition.

  • A cycling helmet (MANDATORY!)

  • Appropriate clothing and footwear. We recommend cycling apparel and foot ware whenever possible however comfortable fitting athletic apparel and sports shoes are acceptable.

  • Proper hydration & nutrition.

  • Spare tube & tube repair kit.

  • Cellular telephone (ICE)

  • The ability to keep pace & cycle the distance.

  • No earphones or earbuds (prescription hearing aids are permitted).


Safety is priority one!   We recommend utilizing front and rear blinking lights to increase visibility a multi-tool for adjustments a phone in the event of an emergency and perhaps a cycling computer.
